Hi all, Is there a admin role for allowing one user to edit all users contact information only? I have read this. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/admin/add-users/about-admin-roles?redirectSourcePath=%252fen-us%252farticle%252fAbout-Office-365-admin-roles-da585eea-f576-4f55-a1e0-87090b6aaa9d&view=o365-worldwide But it doesn't have one specifically for contact information. Hi, In our company, we bought a new domain and we want to move all of our existing mailboxes to the new one. I already have both domains registered in the same tenant. I mean support@contoso.com to support@contosola.com etc. May you please give me any advice on the best way to perform this?12KViews1like9Comments"Mailbox Import Export" role issue
Hello, I'll be doing emails migration soon and would need to import PST files. Would like to use the Import tool available in MS Purview.... However, to be able to use Import feature, I need to add "Mailbox Import Export" role in Exchange Online.... I was trying to add that role but getting the error below... I've been trying to do it for 2 days already and still no luck.... The error doesn't give me any idea of what could be wrong... I have a "global admin" group in "Assigned" tab and I'm logged as an admin that is included in that group. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?Solved9.8KViews0likes4CommentsDisclaimer Rules in Exchange Online - Prevent Duplicates
Currently working on a set of disclaimer rules in Exchange Online to create a company wide signature, as other cloud solutions for appending signatures correctly (like CodeTwo or Exclaimer) are out of the budget for this year. Created a set of rules, but finding that the signatures are duplicating and would like to prevent this by using the exclusion policy. In trying a few different exclusions it will not match to portions of the HTML or even text that is added. The rules so far: Signature header (style sheet) Display Name Company name and address Company Name with URL street address, city, province, postal code Direct number Using the %%HomePhone%% attribute A dynamic distribution group is used to populate with those AD Objects that have this property populated This rule only applies to those in the dynamic distribution group Office number Fax number same dynamic distribution group concept as the direct number Tried using commented code, <!-- company_name signature --> but it is removed when the other person replies. Using the exact string for the address that is generated without formatting, and it still seems to include it. For example, address would be displayed as "12345 - 321 Street, Ottawa ON, K2J 0K6". Tried the whole string with and without quotations, portions of the string, the HTML code and portions of it, and it still seems to append another copy of the signature in longer email chains. Using GPOs to push out a standard signature did come up in the discussion, though we are doing this to target the mobile only users as most end users do not have workstations. And, trying to minimize any administrative overhead as most mobile only users are seasonal; need to avoid potentially missing this step during user setup and without having to set all users signatures via scripting. As the version of Exchange we had on premises was an older version we are wanting to avoid having to bring the server back up to flow mail back through an old version of the disclaimer software that was used before migrating their email solution to Office 365 and Exchange Online.6.4KViews0likes2CommentsCan't connect via IMAP (basic authentication) to my Office 365 account
Hello, I'm struggling since two days now to enable an IMAP connection with basic authentication for my Office 365 account. I enable IMAP for the user in the admin console and furthermore, I also created an "AuthenticationPolicy" via the Exchange Online PowerShell. Set-AuthenticationPolicy -Identity "Allow Basic Auth for some ancient application" -AllowBasicAuthImap:$true Multifactor Authentication is disabled for the user. What am I missing? How can I narrow down the root cause? Thanks in advance.6.2KViews0likes2CommentsAuto replies message is not receiving

Hello, I have an hybrid Exchange environment everything is running ok, but now I am starting to take on the task of eliminating the public folders which are in the on-prem Exchange server (2010) and recreate them in O365 or delete them. So I have a mail enabled public folder in my on-prem environment. I went ahead and from the on-prem Exchange console, I changed the folder to "Mail Disabled". I then ran Azure sync. The problem is that I cannot create a shared mailbox on O365 with the same SMTP address because I get the following error: The proxy address "SMTP:user@domain.com" is already being used by the proxy addresses or LegacyExchangeDN of "PublicMailboxName". Please choose another proxy address.( The "PublicFolder" with display name "PublicMailboxName" is already setup and using the same address.) When I do the Azure sync I don't even see where it is replicating the fact that I removed this SMTP locally. Any suggestions on what I can do to make this happen??5.9KViews0likes3CommentsRestrict 365 to specific device or MAC address
Good afternoon We have different users in the field that need to access mailboxes and perhaps 365 apps, but they can't use MFA. We're looking into providing them with access to email (right now), but we'd like to limit it to a specific device or MAC address. Is this at all possible?5.3KViews0likes6Commentsquestion for office365 - forwarding issue
