Introducing Project Robin | New Feature
this one is a new flag you can enable: edge://flags/#edge-robin Microsoft Edge Version 91.0.852.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) I think, Project Robin is a way to show Windows Defender Application Guard windows as tabs, next to other regular tabs. because right now, when you open a new WDAG window, it has its own protected window, backed up by Windows Defender engine. this Project Robin might be a way to bring the 2 environments together in the same window. so far the feature doesn't seem to be fully implemented yet. when I try it, it takes me to https://dev.browse.trafficmanager.net/?header=0&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bing.com%2F&escape=newdomain&titlePrefix=0 and then nothing. it's exciting, waiting for future versions to see more changes.[Feature Suggestion] Show update history in Edge
Please show the update history in edge://settings/help lots of spaces left there, it helps to keep track of installed updates on the local machine. only show update history after Edge is installed on the system, not from the beginning of the time. Firefox has this and it's very helpful, specially for insider channel. I only want to see the time and the version number of previously installed updates on my system. you can add a scroll bar to the right side to scroll down/up when the history rows are too many to fit that area. Like this:
Taskbar peek in fullsreen mode
Edge chromium currently hides the taskbar in fullscreen mode. User has to press Win + T or Win keys every time to display taskbar while in fullscreen. When being fullscreen taskbar should be visible when the mouse is brought down near the taskbar. Edge legacy had this feature. Kindly work on it. This feature allows you to right-click on any image on the web and select an option to magnify it. The image will be opened in full size and its Alt text will be displayed under it. I personally like this feature because before this i would right-click on the image and open it in a new tab. Xbox console companion app which is being depreciated and retired, has still a lot of useful features such as clubs, screenshot uploads, friends activity, uploading your own custom photo as avatar, viewing captures etc etc Xbox app has none of these, yet every time I open Xbox console companion app it says use Xbox app instead, I'm worried that none of these features are going to be added to the new Xbox app. I highly depend on these features and they are important ones. Microsoft Edge Version 89.0.722.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) has added 2 new features to Tab Groups and improved the previous ones. you need to enable them using flags (edge://flags/) Watch this demo video I just recorded to see how they perform: https://streamable.com/oxtieq * you can drag a group of tabs and drop them on another window. ** Tab groups on vertical tabs has minor visual issues. see below
