Hi Planner Community, Thank you for the overwhelming support for my original post last year on how to @mention someone within the Microsoft Planner community and have a message automatically emailed to them. I'm excited to share that I've completely redesigned and updated the solution to now support the new Microsoft Teams Planner and remove the issues some users found with setting up the solution. Additionally, the notification is now an adaptive card within the Microsoft Teams chat to the user you @mentioned in the Microsoft Planner comment. Screenshot example above shows a comment posted by me in a Microsoft Planner task where I’ve @mentioned David at the end of the message. Screenshot example above shows the comment posted by me in Planner being automatically sent to David (thanks to the @mention in the comment) on Microsoft Teams. Allowing David to reply in either the traditional Planner or new Teams Planner. Attached is a zip file containing the Microsoft Power Automate solution, along with a detailed walkthrough to help you set it up. Enjoy! If you download the solution, all I ask is that you please give this post a thumbs up. Thanks, everyone! Looking for opinions on best way to handle a project request. My user wants a task management system that will bubble up tasks in To Do, Planner or other pars of M365 ecosystem. They want the ability to plug in one task (Project Date) and date and have other task automatically generated before and after that date. These projects need to be easily replicated with the same tasks but different dates based on each project. My initial thought was to manually create a planner plan, build out dependencies for each task based on project date. They could then copy the plan and adjust the project date, but that seems overly complicated? -3 weeks Task 1 -3 weeks Task 2 -3 weeks Task 3 -2 weeks Task 4 -2 weeks Task 5 -4 days Task 6 -3 days Task 7 4/15/2025 Project Date +1 day Task 8 +1 day Task 9 +1 day Task 10 +2 days Task 11 +3 days Task 1287Views0likes2CommentsMS Planner & MS Project
Hello, I work as a project manager, and we want to use MS Project in the company. However, it seems to be not very user-friendly. How can I import a project file that has already been created in the MS Project Desktop version into the Project Web App (PWA) with all resources and tasks included? Even though I import the file, it does not show up in PWA, but newly created projects do. Another question is how to send email reminder notifications for tasks assigned to colleagues in PWA. Is it possible to work with both Project Online and the desktop versions simultaneously, meaning will the entered information be updated directly in the other version? Can someone help me please.29Views0likes0CommentsNew Office 365 Group not shown when creating new Planner Plan
Our organization created a new Private Office 365 Group (not a Team) but when creating a new Planner Plan this group is not shown as an option to assign the Plan to. We've created Private O365 Groups previously that are not Teams and were able to create new Plans associated to those teams. What would be different or what other settings have limited this group from showing up?33KViews0likes19CommentsBack to school again... again... again
hi all I have been having an issue where each time open planner it gives me the guide. this happens when I log in or refresh the page. Its three clicks that I would like to reduce when I'm trying to re-enter my day. there appears to be no option to permanently say I got the message and move on with my life till the next big update. the X removes the message so that would be one click, clicking next till the end dose the same, but as soon as I need to refresh (because the Planner is out of sync with the cloud) bam "easy filtering", "Create a task", "start a plan". I got it the first time. Perhaps I'm missing something.51Views0likes1CommentHide the price for some departments
Hello team, I'm still new here and don't have much experience with the Planner. We use the Planner to organize deliveries. The sellers write the price "Preis" in a Forms document. This creates a bucket in the planner. However, only certain departments should have access to that "Preis" price in the Planner. The Planner is filled via MS Forms. Here are a few screenshots. It would be important to me if certain areas such as the purchase price in the Planner could simply be hidden for certain people. Is that possible here? Thank you very much for your support! Here are the screenshots. Thank you! https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/89eee9dnij5o7uo0dkyad/ANCDovNHlk3ci486UzdPPnA?rlkey=ks6bo8qfe9nhgmxleawmrtr9s&st=oiu65n51&dl=09Views0likes0CommentsNew planner doesn't show a "schedule" view of tasks assigned to me from different plans
The new version of web-based Planner was enabled for me a few days ago, on November 17th. Apparently, I realized that one of the features I used is missing. At the "My Tasks" view, in the old version of Planner, one could choose to have different views, apart from the grid view. The most useful one for me was the "schedule" view, since I could see in one calendar, all assigned tasks from different plans/teams/projects. This functionality now seems to have been removed, and one can only see one separate schedule per plan.321Views3likes3CommentsWhat is the best method to migrate all my asana to the planner?
I carried out a survey in the organization where I provide services and came to the conclusion that it is better to migrate all of ASANA's usability to MS Planner, one for reasons that for task tracking it is basically the same, another is the integration with the entire MS platform. But a bigger concern is that the organization has projects in progress and many tasks in history, however, I am looking for the best way to carry out this migration. I see that there are many third-party programs that perform the same function, but I officially check this forum for better tips.2.1KViews1like3CommentsSingle task to be done by multiple users
With Microsoft Planner, we can add multiple people to a single task, but if anyone of them marks it as complete the whole task will be marked as complete. But I would like to assign a task to my team which each of them needs to complete individually and I would like to keep a track of who has completed and who has not. Is this possible?Solved149KViews11likes32CommentsTurning off Email notifications....
Hi there, we have users that complaine about too much EMails send by the Planner App in teams. For instance, they do receive an email every time someone adds a comment to a task, where they are members. And they claim that this is only since last week or so. They want that to be turned off. But I cannot find where it could be located? Can anyone help. Thanks a Million Berthold256Views1like1Comment
