Consider the following situation: CompanyA has a Microsoft 365 tenant with licensed users. CompanyA has a business relationship with CompanyB which also has a Microsoft 365 tenant. All of CompanyB's Windows 11 Pro computers are Entra ID joined and Intune enrolled. All of CompanyB's users have Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses. An employee of CompanyA is stationed at CompanyB's office and needs to use one of CompanyB's computers as his primary computer. How would a technician have to configure things so that CompanyA user can sign into CompanyB's Windows 11 Pro computer and work like normal? I've done some reading online but most of the articles focus on access to cloud resources, whether that be Microsoft Teams or Entra Enterprise Apps or similar resources. I haven't found an article touching on Windows 11 sign in. Matthew87Views0likes1Commentto big title bar in Office 365 update 2408
Hi all, since a couple of days I have to work with the ugly, annoying, awful, ... user interface in Office 365. The title bar size became horrible large. Compared with an explorer window from Win 10 it is nearly the double height. As an Office Poweruser (I'm working with the office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) unluckily the whole day) I'm looking for smallen the title bar again. There was a registry hack, but on my machine this isn't working anymore. Because of the ribbon interface and a lot of not needed functions this is how my Quick Access Toolbars (QAT) are looking like: Now somebody could tell my, "OK, switch the QAT to the top, so that the title bar get more sense! Problem is, that the monochrome icons are absolutly boring AND especially for Word I can't differ between my macros, which I set with different colours. The title bar is smaller because of the standard buttons and the search field, so that not all my most loved commands have space here Dragging the window can not be done with the title bar, as it was since the beginning of time. I need to find some space somewhere. Does someone have an idea to reduce the size of the title bar as it was before? Or does someone have an idea to colorize the icons, when they are inside the title bar? If I consider that the taskbar is also increasing in size, especially in WIN 11 where this isn't adjustable, both sides (top + bottom) in sum are steeling to many space. Cheers! Is there a report that can be run on Sharepoint to show file string size sorted highest to lowest? The issue we are running into is the difference between Sharepoint character limit and Windows Character limit. Out of the box they are different and Sharepoint's string limit is considerably higher. If there was a report, we could get a head of syncing issues.9Views0likes0CommentsOneNote not Converting Devanagari Handwriting to Text.

Running Office 365 Outlook on a Lenovo laptop and Windows 11. Hey All, I have successfully installed multiple Gmail accounts to Outlook on two different personal computers [Computer#1 (C#1) and Computer#2 (C#2)]. I am trying to install Gmail account #3 (GM#3) on my new computer (C#2) but failing. It is already installed on C#1. As a test, I just uninstalled and reinstalled on C#1 without a problem. Both computers are Lenovo laptops. I have tried the advanced options "set up my account manually", including both Gmail the and IMAP options with the same result: I get the Error Message: "We couldn't log on to the incoming (POP/IMAP) server. Please check your email address and password to try again." The troubleshooter says "Outlook desktop (MAPI) is disabled for this user's mailbox." (My little bit of research into gmail indicates that MAPI does not support MAPI.) Where I think the trouble started: In the process of installing GML#3 on C#2, I flubbed up. I had a Chrome window open under a GM#2 account and during the installation I opened a Chrome window logged into GM#3. I think (but am not positive) the Chrome's Outlook verification procedure seemed to start in the GM#2 Chrome window and finish in the GM#3 chrome window, but it was not successful in Outlook. Most solutions I have found involve deleting the account from Outlook and starting over. However, the GM#3 account has not been installed in outlook so there is no account to delete. Each time I go to install GM#3, it searches for accounts and provides GM#3 as an email address for me to select. Either automatically or manually, it does not prompt me for a password and there is nowhere I can find to confirm the password is properly entered or change it. Because Outlook seems to be holding on to information about the account and password, I conclude it has some information on GM#3 in cache or somewhere in the system. I did a complete delete of all the local Outlook cache (the process I followed indicated this would not delete information that has already been moved to the server--appended to the end of this message). On C#2, I have also deleted all the email accounts and the Outlook profile and reinstalled them but it still seems to hold onto the GM#3 email address and I assume the password (since it never prompts me for the password). As near as I can tell the settings for the GM#3 account on the corresponding Google Chrome account are the same on C#1 and C#2 -- but I have not checked every single one of them (checked "Labels" and "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" settings) Grateful for any solutions/clues/thoughts! Jim INSTRUCTIONS I FOLLOWED TO CLEAR THE LOCAL CACHE Exit Outlook and Skype for Business. From the Start menu, choose Run. In the Run window, type this path in the Open box "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook\" Click OK Find the .ost file and rename or delete it (you may need to Show Hidden Files and Show Extensions to see the file) Remove the following files: any .xml files, any .nst files Open the RoamCache folder and delete all items Open the HubAppFileCache folder and delete all items Open the Offline Address Books folder and delete all items Open the 16 folder and delete all items Restart OutlookSolved17KViews1like20CommentsPowerPoint: Embedded video crashes while scrubbing
Hi, we have an issue with at least 4 different computer configurations where an embedded .mp4 movie in a PowerPoint presentation crashes when scrubbing in the playback bar. The problem occurs only in the edit mode of PowerPoint. There is no problem in full screen mode (after pressing F5). PowerPoint version is the latest (Microsoft PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2212 Build 16.0.15928.20196) 64-bit). The biggest commonality between these machines seems to be the Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics unit. It occurs regardless of the operating system (both Windows 10 and 11, latest updates). The problem does not occur when the integrated GPU is disabled via Device Manager on a laptop with an additional dedicated GPU. Intel driver as well as system drivers are up-to-date. Both Dell (manufacturer of the laptops) and Intel support (integrated GPU) were contacted, but referred to contacting Microsoft as they did not find an issue on their end. Since this is a major problem for us when editing presentations, is there any way to install an updated driver or work around the problem? Any help would be appreciated.4KViews2likes7CommentsWindows Activation O365 - Changes Status
Hello - We are having an issue where our company end clients (laptops / PCs) change activation status from active to not activated. This has been happening for 2 years now and was happening pre our move to O365 licensing. When we moved to O365 licensing the issue appeared to correct itself but then returned. This affects multiple machines in our environment and happens randomly. We are using 0365 online activation. No KMS, no ADBA. The last troubleshooting step we took with MS Support was to delete the PersistedSystemState registry key under HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform on the 2 affected machines we are using for troubleshooting. So far, the activation status has not changed. I do hope this has fixed the issue but I don't understand what may have caused this initially and I am looking for an RCA which MS has not been able to provide. H Has anyone else had this issue. TIA.49Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft Defender for Endpoint -> Reports-> No data Available status

My setup: Home user, Intel Gen12, Windows11 Pro. My Outlook is configured for local storage (POP3). No Sharepoint, no Microsoft Teams, not linked to my iPhone. Very simple setup that I have used for years, apart from having auto update enabled in Windows. I am trying to load an alternate older .pst file that is stored locally on the same HDD. I go to File, Account settings, and try to load the required .pst. I get the error message, "You cannot use an Internet address here. Enter a path that points to a location on your computer or on the network." This happens as I try to browse to a local file. As soon as I try to access my 😧 data drive I get the nonsensical error. It is not an internet address. Does anyone know what is wrong?606Views0likes8CommentsOne of my Office 365 user, suddenly missing
