Status of Microsoft Places
In a community call last year, there was a demo of Microsoft Places. Can anyone provide an update regarding the release date of this? We are interested in the hotel desk component of this tool. Also, is it going to be part of the Microsoft 365 licenses, Teams Premium, etc.? Thank you.38KViews34likes64CommentsYes It's Real! The Champions Community Call will be on October 17th

Is Microsoft To Do replacing Outlook Tasks? Or how do they work together? Is Outlook Tasks being retired? Hello All - This community identified a bug with the registration system for the Adoption Specialist course. This course on EdX will be available until December 30, 2020 and it will then transition to Microsoft Learn. Currently, no one can complete the EdX course registration. This is a bug that we are working to resolve. Thank you for your patience and your continued interest in the course. My team and I will keep you all updated here as soon as we resolve the problem! Hi All, I have a couple of questions regarding Office 365 user adoption: Do you think end users should receive formal training -- instructor/champion-led sessions -- to be taught how to use Office 365 apps like Teams or PowerApps, for example? Is there an expectation that end users will just learn as they go, without any formal training, and do their own research to learn more about how to use the Office 365 apps if necessary? Personally, I think end users should be provided with initial training sessions on apps that are new to them, and periodic sessions on specific features, updates, etc, so that they can make the most of all that Office 365 has to offer. What is your experience with these? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. For small teams that don't need all of the overhead of an M365 Group, a Teams Chat group and a shared folder in OneDrive can be a viable solution. As per my post title - when would a Team outgrow OneDrive for collaboration purposes? How many files would be too many for OneDrive? How many group members would be too many? I am trying to find a clear and objective line to draw in the sand.Solved7.1KViews0likes26CommentsNew Office 365 Adoption Guide from Microsoft

I am new to this app, after the Tournament feature was added so I am having difficulty distinguishing between the two: Events and Tournaments and how the Event Track Details list works. Would someone mind defining Events and Tournaments, explaining the distinctions between them, and describe the purpose of and how to populate each of the associated lists for them: Event Track Details, Action Lists, ToT User Actions, Tournament Actions, and User Actions. They are named so similarly I'm struggling with keeping it all straight. Some examples of how they are to be used would help, too. Or, if there is documentation that does these things, that would be fine. I have looked everyone and cannot come up with any that digs in a bit and explains these. Thank you.Solved6.1KViews0likes20CommentsTool for training needs analysis
I'm not sure if I'm in the right place to ask this... Part of my role is to drive adoption of O365 in our customer's organisations. I'm looking for a cloud-based tool to assess who needs training, which aspects of the suite they need training in and possibly even how best they like to learn (instructor-led, video, self-paced etc). Ideally the tool would give me a good idea of the digital literacy of each employee and where their strengths and weaknesses lie with each app (e.g Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint etc). Any help with this from the community would be greatly appreciated!10KViews7likes19CommentsJanuary's Champions' Call - Certification and Governance

Hi All, Microsoft has a lot of excellent training resources for the many Office 365 apps, but they can be difficult to find. To that end, I created the Office 365 Training Portal, the goal of it being to centralize access to the various Microsoft resources, including Microsoft's overview videos of the apps (where available). Is this a resource that could benefit your users/organizations? Is there anything you would recommend to make it better?4.7KViews23likes18CommentsNext Champions Call set for Nov 14th

I'm super excited about the release of the Office 365 Custom Learning site! Is anyone else trying it out on their tenant? If so I'd love to hear about how you're using it - especially if you're using it for custom playlists. I've had a go at creating a custom playlist but for some reason it's not coming through to the web parts. I've been following the instructions but must be missing something... If you have any thoughts, I'd love to hear them :-)Solved3.9KViews4likes17CommentsOvercoming Complacency?
Hey everyone! Greetings from Atlanta, GA. I've recently stepped into the role of a Customer Success Manager for Microsoft, and I'll be driving adoption for companies with low numbers of Active vs. Qualified Entitlements for Microsoft Teams. My question to you all is this: how do you overcome the objection of "things are fine the way they are?" Companies often have so much on their plate that the LAST of their concerns is the adoption of a new communication platform. How can we be respectfully persistent and convince them that, although we understand and respect their priorities, MS Teams would be an incredible asset to the company in the long run? Thanks in advance for your responses. All the best, Guilherme Apollonio4.4KViews2likes16Comments
