Teams Meeting - transcription doesn't work
Since several days the transcriptions in Team meetings are not working, not available.
Copilot Service Status is healthy.
Basic solutions as clearing the cache is a no solution. Multiple Copilot licensed users have this problem.
Other users with this problem? Raising a ticket, with problem that 1st line support doesn't know what and where to troubleshoot?

From the Teams 365 Dashboard, Meetings > Meeting Policies > Recording & Transcription. I changed the Copilot setting. The Default is "On with saved transcript required". With this setting, if your transcript fails to upload there will be no Recap from Copilot. "Transcript Required" literally means that if there isn't a transcript you get nothing.
I changed the setting to just "On", globally. My hope is that this fixes the copilot recap feature. Still working on why the transcript are failing.
Hi. Are you the organizer of the meeting you are trying to record? If so check with your M365 Admin team becausae maybe your record/transcript capability was inadvertently turned off.
We've recently encountered an issue where transcription stopped working for recurring Teams meetings. Meeting organizers, all with Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses, are affected. Recording and Transcription is still enabled in Meeting Options, and nothing has changed on our end.We've used both the Transcription and Copilot Meeting Recap features for some time without issue. This seems to have started after recent Microsoft updates, possibly related to Copilot changes.
Has anyone found a confirmed solution, or is there official guidance from Microsoft on updating existing meeting settings to restore transcription functionality?
