Outlook for Mac crashes at launch on macOS Sequoia 15.0
Hi,
Since updating my macOS to Sequoia 15.0, Outlook crashes immediately after opening. A few days ago, Word and PowerPoint were also crashing upon startup, but they are now working normally.
I am unable to use the “Contact Support” option in the Outlook app, as it freezes within 5 seconds of launching.
What is the solution for this?
I request someone from the Outlook support team to get back to me at the earliest, and I will share all the error reports.

I have reverted back to Legacy and this works (I will await a further update before going off Legacy again)
Boy am I glad to see I am not the only one - I have been pulling my hair out for 3 weeks - and the Microsoft Outlook support is basically none existent - the worse comment - send us an email - Ummmmm - were you not listening!!
Not that I am happy that we have this issue - but now I see that perhaps I should try Apple and not Microsoft - thanks for raising the Q

i have the same kind of problem for the last couple of weeks, when i use outlook for mac, it works fine for a few minutes, but after it gets "stuck" in mail sync and i have to abort outlook application that generates a error report. What do i do ?

diviljain07 I had to actually go back to the legacy version of Outlook as it keeps crashing on the new version. I had to re-enter all the accounts that were in the new version. Miss the profile part, but was the only way I could get outlook to work with new OS.

wesredman I have a macbook air M1 and tonight it installed Sequoia and now my Outlook Mail with years of emails organised in folders etc has reverted to an initial installation! legacy/not legacy doesnt bring back my accounts and thousands of emails... I have no idea why this has happened! Any suggestion? the bulk of my emails must be somehwre I can retrive them?

The only thing I have found that is helpful is to not open Outlook in Safari. Instead download the Outlook for Mac app on the Microsoft website and put the app on your toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Open Outlook from the app, not Safari. The appearance is a slight bit different but basically the same and the app works as well as Outlook did before I installed Sequoia 15.0.1.
I am having the same problems. Switched to Mac OS 15.0.1 Sequoia and now Outlook performs poorly and no Microsoft customer support.
RichardH90 same for me even after this new update it’s not working. Crashes on all app office 365. Must restart my laptop each time
Same with me. None of the office apps work. They all crash immediately upon start. Had several MacOS updates even the betas. None worked. Office on Mac turned out to be piece of junk.
ercanbasaran try to contact apple. I just contacted the support team by phone and Outlook & Dropbox is working again for me. And a tip: do not be redirected to Microsoft support. Because it really has to do with the update. I had to boot into safe mode and change some settings.
Since the last update, I can only receive emails through the Outlook app. Sending emails no longer works. Therefore, I deleted my email from the app and am trying to add it again. Unfortunately, it keeps loading after entering the provider details. Has anyone else experienced this issue? It all started after the last update.
Also, my Dropbox app won’t log in anymore. As a result, my files are no longer synchronized. My colleagues who are still using the old version are not having this problem.
diviljain07 I have the same issue. I have tried restarting and re-installing outlook several times today. Now Word is playing up to. All since the latest update of Sequoia version 15.
- I have the same issue, since I upgraded to Sequoia 15.0, all the office applications are not working. Power Point, Word, Excel all of them are crashing. Fortunately only outlook is functioning. I have tried to look for updates from MS to fix it but havent found any solution so far.
