Currently, Microsoft Purview doesn't display the carbon emissions associated with storing individual datasets. However, by integrating Purview with Microsoft's sustainability tools, such as the Emissions Impact Dashboard, we can estimate these emissions. Implementing resource tagging enables more detailed tracking of resource usage and associated emissions. While this integration provides valuable insights, the carbon emission data would be accessible through external reporting tools rather than being directly displayed within Purview. It would be beneficial to suggest to Microsoft the development of a feature that integrates carbon emission metrics directly into Purview's data catalogue, promoting greater awareness and accountability regarding the environmental impact of data storage. I would like to suggest adding a feature to Microsoft Edge that allows users to hide distracting items on a webpage, similar to Safari's Distraction Control feature. This feature would enhance the browsing experience by enabling users to focus on the main content without unnecessary distractions. If there is one already, please let me know. Dear Microsoft, dear Community! I've been hoping and waiting for a tagged vlan feature built in to windows since... a decade? maybe two... I don't understand why, as of 2025, there still is a requirement for driver support or hyper-v vm nics in order to add multiple tagged vlan interfaces to a system? Its kind of my daily work to connect to several vlans via trunk ports. Linux, FreeBSD even MacOS: no problem at all. Why cant we get that functionality? I really wish that would make it to Windows: Is there any chance? I guess I am not the only one missing that feature. Kind regards P.s.: I don't mean to rant, I just don't have the necessary knowledge to understand why its so complicated or maybe even undesired to get that functionality built into the OS.43Views0likes1CommentPlease introduce Recurring schedules for Webinar
Hi, We're moving towards using Teams more predominantly for virtual events and teaching. In some cases, it would be useful to use the registration features available in Webinar but have that govern a course which spans 10-12 weeks at a couple of hours per week. As registration has been removed as an option from Teams Meetings, can the ability to set recurring Webinars within Webinar Scheduling be introduced? Many of us (millions?) are never going to give up Classic Outlook because of all its useful features. I have added hundreds of steps in To Do but they don't sync over to Classic Outlook tasks. Please fix this. Even better...sync the My Day list while you're at it!60Views1like1CommentFeature Request: Ability to mark start and due date of the tasks
Hi To Do Team, It is possible to mark the Start and Due dates of tasks in Microsoft Outlook. However, no such option exists in the To-Do app. Ideally, if a task falls within the start and due dates, it should appear in my day list. Dear To Do Team, The current version of the To-Do app lacks many features. Adding a group by a feature on all tabs/lists (vertical tabs on the left) of the To-Do app will be helpful. The Group by functionality can be performed based on the following fields: 1. Categories (Ensure great synchronization of categories from Microsoft Outlook) 2. Due Date 3. Task Status 4. Type of Task (Email, Task, etc.) Thanks, Manoj Aggarwal212Views0likes0CommentsWindows 11 Taskbar Seems Downgraded
There are some key functionalities of the Windows 10 taskbar that got everything right, and I don't know why they got removed in Windows 11. I would like to see them added back in. Three main features that were instrumental as a video game player using Windows 10 taskbar and a multi-monitor setup: 1. Click+Drag (or alternate setting) after unlocking the taskbar to move the taskbar to whatever portion of the screen you wanted it on. 2. Vertical space is a premium in horizontal monitor orientations, side oriented task bars are excellent for these scenarios. 3. Clocks on alternate monitor taskbar. Windows 11 is missing it from alternate monitor task bars. My primary monitor is the one the games always start on, why can't I have a visible clock on my alternate monitor's taskbar as a default feature of Windows 11?1KViews1like1CommentMove steps into tasks
The steps function is limited by the fact that you cannot easily select a step and turn it into a task or create sub-steps for it - the best you can do is copy and paste the text of the step into the add a task bar and then treat it as a separate task but none of the other information in terms of notes, reminders or due dates is retained this way. Similarly, you can't copy and paste a task to duplicate that information and then change the text, unless anyone has a workaround?3.7KViews5likes1CommentFeature Request - Add Sidebar to Microsoft Edge Apps
I find the new sidebar mobile sites feature very useful. I am a Windows 11 user, so I could previously always just use Windows 11 snap layouts to drag one site to the left and one to the right. But with sidebar mobile sites, as seen in the image, the two sites are now a "locked pair" that can be moved around and resized independently. I also like the Edge "apps" feature that opens a site in a dedicated window. It helps me organize my window layout better and sometimes helps me keep focus better. However, it appears that the sidebar cannot be activated in Edge apps. I can hit Ctrl + Shift + E to open sidebar search, but I can't activate any of the other sidebar apps.475Views0likes0Comments
