How can I add additional background images in Teams? I'm using both apps, one for personal use and one for work. I need to add new background effect to the teams for personal use but there isn't a button for that. I also tried accessing the images via a folder `%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds` but there are only images from the work version of Teams. So how should I add new image to the personal one? Where are background images for that version stored?755KViews0likes16CommentsCustom Background In MS Teams
UPDATED It looks like this is in the process of being rolled out or at least actively tested. If you have the version with the option to select a background image, custom images can be added. Save your image /s in the Uploads folder below C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME_HERE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads Then, in teams while on a call; click the 'More Actions' (Three Dots) at the bottom, select 'Show Background Effects' The pictures you added should show up on the right hand side of the screen with the default options from Microsoft. Good Luck! S684KViews14likes83CommentsHow to Prevent Teams from Auto-Launch
Hi guys, I plan to deploy Teams in my company, and there's a headache. I don't want Teams auto launches when system starts, and when I install it, I use this script: msiexec /i "%temp%\Teams_windows_x64.msi" /QN OPTIONS="noAutoStart=true" It works, and after a reboot, Teams icon appears on desktop but Teams doesn't launch. And I double-click the icon to start this app, then close it, and then restart my laptop, Teams auto launched, and I found the registry item: Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Value: com.squirrel.Teams.Teams Data: %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Teams\Update.exe --processStart "Teams.exe" --process-start-args "--system-initiated" My Question is: Is there a way to set "auto-start application" is uncheched as default option? Thank you in advance. :)Solved678KViews10likes46CommentsUnable to select microphone or speaker device in Microsoft Teams (Windows 10)
Microsoft Teams is currently unable to make/receive calls due to the app being unable to set a Microphone or speaker device. The 'Audio Devices' profile within settings is set to 'Custom Setup' and no other option is available in the drop down (screenshot attached). When try to continue using the custom setup, no devices are available as the drop-downs are unclickable (screenshot attached). Other useful info: OS: Windows 10 - latest Microsoft Teams Version: 1.2.00.24753 (64 bit). It was last updated on 22/09/2019. I have uninstalled and re-installed teams. Audio devices work fine in all other applications No other application is using the devices when Teams is being tested.Solved602KViews6likes58CommentsChanging Channel from private
Hi, so after searching I cannot find the answer to this. I've created a team that will have channels in it representing different projects. I've made one channel private so that I can choose which team members have access to it. But now, I want to revoke that and allow all team members to see the channel. I can't figure out how though. Other than deleting the channel and that isn't an option. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Solved510KViews8likes48CommentsMicrosoft Teams Call Volume too Quiet
My company recently switched to Microsoft Teams for our conference calls, and an issue I'm having involves call volumes when taking calls over headphones vs. laptop speakers. I typically take calls through my headphones, where volume changes work as expected. However, if I disconnect my headphones to listen to the meeting through the laptop speakers, the volume changes. For a split-second the volume will be at the correct level, and immediately afterwards will reduce so low that it's almost impossible to hear (think listening to headphones without having them in your ears). Despite this, my computer and Teams both claim the volume is at 100%, but this can't possibly be true. Any suggestions?494KViews13likes73CommentsAllowing guests to start a meeting without the organizer present
We run afterschool programs that rely heavily on volunteers. We have about two to three students in a group with each volunteer. Each group has been given their own link, however our program coordinator, who was the organizer of each group/teams meeting, has to go to every link to allow them into the meeting. We have clicked on the meeting preferences to allow everyone in without having to wait in the lobby, however unless the meeting organizer is present, they still have to sit in the lobby. Is there anyway to change that?Solved372KViews0likes22CommentsDisable Chat Messaging in Teams Meeting
Hi all, We've been having issues with students misusing the chat section during remote learning (Teams Meeting). It would be great to have the ability to disallow chat in meetings either during the meeting setup, or in the admin portal. Regards DanSolved346KViews1like23Comments
