Taskbar

Edge chromium currently hides the taskbar in fullscreen mode. User has to press Win + T or Win keys every time to display taskbar while in fullscreen. When being fullscreen taskbar should be visible when the mouse is brought down near the taskbar. Edge legacy had this feature. Kindly work on it. I am attaching a screenshot from the deg legacy.6.5KViews9likes7CommentsNotification badges for PWAs pinned to the taskbar
If possible, it would be good to see notification badges on taskbar for the pinned website like Twitter and other social media platforms we already get some sort of hint when there is notification available on Twitter on Edge favorites toolbar, (using Edge canary 83 at the moment) notice the small red dot. it disappears when I go to Twitter and check my notifications or mark them as read. i think this is great and needs to be visible on the Taskbar pinned items too.8.8KViews5likes9CommentsBring back the ability to hold Shift + click on pinned icons on Taskbar to open multiple instances
Bring back the ability to hold Shift + click on pinned icons on Taskbar to open multiple instances of the app Windows 10 has this useful feature but it's missing in Windows 11, where you could hold Shift and then click (left-click) on a pinned app icon on taskbar that is already open, in order to open another instance of the app. for example the file explorer, browser, media player, text editor, calculator and so on. I noticed sometimes icons of the Pinned programs on the taskbar get a while background around them, like this: and in some cases the icon itself is replaced with this placeholder (this is File Explorer) I haven't submitted a feedback on Feedback hub app yet, they happen very randomly at the moment and they are fixed usually after a minute or two. anyone else experiencing the same thing on this build?2.7KViews4likes11CommentsNever Group Taskbar Windows 11
Greetings, I recently installed Windows 11 for testing purposes, as many of our customers are transitioning to it. However, after about 1 hour, I decided to revert to Windows 10. The reason for this change was my frustration with the inability to ungroup icons on the Taskbar. I came across numerous forum threads dating back over two years, where countless users expressed their dissatisfaction, yet it seems Microsoft has not addressed this issue. I'm left wondering about the purpose of this new Taskbar design – it appears to be a wasted use of space, left and right. Designed to be most unproductiv possible. What I dont understand, why Microsoft is holding on to this Design even if a high % have show they dissatisfaction about it. Really disappointed and I wont be using Windows 11 anytime soon. Maybe skip it in total and wait for Windows 12.1.7KViews2likes4CommentsPlease add this feature soon!!!
Please allow us to set different taskbars for different desktops, it would be so helpful to have this feature as I obviously use different apps for school and work. Having the right apps pinned to my taskbar depending on which desktop I am using would be way more convenient and help me focus.941Views2likes1CommentCustomizing Start & Task Bar for AVD Multisession-Hosts (Windows 11)
Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I am reaching out to seek assistance with customizing the Start Menu and Taskbar on Windows 11 for our users. Our aim is to establish specific pinned apps and shortcuts to enhance their productivity and overall experience. We have already explored a few methods to achieve this customization. Initially, we attempted to utilize the Export-StartLayout command to export the desired StartLayout. Additionally, we experimented with applying a Group Policy Object (GPO) to configure the Start Menu accordingly. Unfortunately, these efforts did not yield the expected results. Furthermore, we explored the possibility of importing a "pinnedList" JSON-File. However, the available documentation primarily focuses on accomplishing this through Intune. It's worth mentioning that our AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) hosts are not currently visible in Intune, making it challenging to follow those specific instructions. At this point, we kindly request guidance from the community on the recommended steps and best practices for modifying the Start Menu and Taskbar in Windows 11. Any insights, suggestions, or alternative approaches would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance for your time and valuable input.2.3KViews1like0CommentsTaskbar Inaccessible when Teams Preview windows is maximised.
Hello all, Bit of a weird issue that we are experiencing when previewing the new Teams client - when the window is full screened, we cannot access the taskbar when it is configured to auto-hide. Pressing the start button pops the taskbar up but moving my cursor to the bottom of the application doesn't do anything. Does anyone else have this issue? This issue is also apparent in the Windows Terminal Preview.Display all elements taskbar in extended displays
Hello! I can't not find a way to display the 'Show hidden icons' arrow and the 'Internet, audio and battery' button on every extended screen. The option doesn't exist in the control panel, so I guess this should be changed in the registry. Does anyone know how it could be achieved? How the main display taskbar looks like: And how the extended one looks: Thank you for your help!1KViews1like1CommentWindows 11 Taskbar Seems Downgraded
There are some key functionalities of the Windows 10 taskbar that got everything right, and I don't know why they got removed in Windows 11. I would like to see them added back in. Three main features that were instrumental as a video game player using Windows 10 taskbar and a multi-monitor setup: 1. Click+Drag (or alternate setting) after unlocking the taskbar to move the taskbar to whatever portion of the screen you wanted it on. 2. Vertical space is a premium in horizontal monitor orientations, side oriented task bars are excellent for these scenarios. 3. Clocks on alternate monitor taskbar. Windows 11 is missing it from alternate monitor task bars. My primary monitor is the one the games always start on, why can't I have a visible clock on my alternate monitor's taskbar as a default feature of Windows 11?1KViews1like1Comment
