Stop replication failed
I have a Azure Migrate: Migration and modernization | Replications where the migration has failed. I tried to stop the replication to create a new migration job but am now getting stop replication failed with the error below. I have checked the vault but cannot see any protected objects. Error message Protection could not be disabled for the machine 'MACHINENAME'. Possible causes Check the failed Disable Protection job for more information. Recommendation Resolve the issue, disable protection on the machine again.SolvedcmadavisJun 25, 2024Copper Contributor484Views0likes4CommentsLooking for opinion: Unjoin Hybrid AD, or migrate to new tenant?
Hello, So I have a bit of a conundrum, and I'm not sure which is the better option. Situation: We currently have an Entra-Hybrid AD environment. Our local AD is a .lan domain, and has almost 30 years of historical garbage (none of it is required anymore). All of our endpoints are already setup for Intune, and all apps/policies are being pushed from Intune. We have two servers that we will migrate to Entra hosted VMs, so are not a big concern. My question is this: 1) If we disconnect our Hybrid-AD connection, how do we make sure all users are cloud sync'd and no longer pulling from local AD. 2) Is there a way to formally disconnect our Entra tenant from our AD Sync tool (so that its no longer expecting that domain). 3) How do we remove our old domain from the Entra-ID Tenant? 3) Our current tenant was setup in a hurry, and was not setup with very good governance or any real organization. Is there a good service that can help "clean up" an existing tenant? 3) Would it be easier to simply create a new Tenant, set it up with best practices, migrate the users, email, onedrive and SP, and then re-join the Intune devices as the final setup? Looking for recommendations/suggestions/pitfalls to look out for while doing this. Thank you,Solvedcia-icaMay 14, 2024Copper Contributor557Views0likes2CommentsLooking to add update Guest Credentials in Azure Migration Replication on-premises appliance/process

Hello I am trying to use Duo for federation with 365. We are migrating from exchange 2013 to exchange online. I know I can't federate my default domain of mycompany.com so I changed the default to the onmicrosoft.com domain and federation worked fine. Is it ok to leave the default domain onmicrosoft? If I create new users I will need to change the their domain but other then that are their any ramifications? Thanks so muchSolvedWorm_IsThe_SpiceJul 12, 2021Copper Contributor1.8KViews0likes2Comments- Htet_NaingFeb 05, 2021Copper Contributor1.2KViews0likes2Comments
Azure Migrade : tool for OnPrem VM requirements
Hello My name is Fred and I am involved as architect in a cloud migration to Azure. We are looking if we can use AzureMigrate to move VMWare VM from OnPrem to Azure. Unfortunately, there are a lot of technical requirements around the OnPrem VM to migrate, and I am not sure to get fully accurate info from the VMWare admin. So my first question is : is there a tool that is checking all the technical requirements, and that is saying yes you can migrate this VM, or no you cannot migrate it. I am talking about a software you are installing on the VM. I am not talking about provisionning a new VM just to know if we can migrate or not using Azure Migrate. My second question is related to one of the requirements : FC disk are not supported. How are you migrating VM with big storage if the tool is not supporting FC disk ? Is there some workaround ? What kind of storage are using such VM ? Thank you for your help and feedback FredSolvedFredFR92Feb 05, 2021Copper Contributor1.8KViews1like4CommentsMigrating SAP Environments from other cloud providers
Hi, I've got several customers trying to move their SAP workloads to the Cloud, all SAP blogs recommend migrating by installing new sap instances and then exporting data from current environment and importing it into new instances, is there any easiest and faster way to achieve this? is it posible to use azure migrate tool to migrate SAP Workloads to the cloud? ( ive been told it is not recomended to use AMT (Azure Migrate Tool) because it wont check DB consistency at target VM....SolvedGS03iFeb 05, 2021Copper Contributor1.3KViews0likes5Comments
