New Teams Client is crashing when Jabra Evolve 75 Headset is muted by putting the microphone up
We have a strange issue with the new Teams client.
When the Mic is put up, the headset is actually muting Teams. However, with the new Teams client, if the headset is put Teams crashes sometimes.
Teams crashes also reproducible if the mic is put up before joining a conference.
Anybody has the same problem or a solution for that?
The Evolve Headset is connected via a Jabra 370 USB dongle.

I am still on version 24004.1307.2669.7070 and am able to always crash the new Teams client using my Jabra Evolve2 75 headset during a meeting and in the join meeting screen performing the following actions:
- Pick the headset up and put it on my head
- Put the microphone arm up or down
- Using the mute button on the headset
Lucily, option 1 and 2 can be diabled in Jabra Direct.
- yasinbalciCopper ContributorI experience the same problem with Jabra Evolve 65 + Microsoft Teams Version 1.7.00.3653 (64-bit)
During the call, Teams crashes in random times. It is totally annoying. - jiskaCopper Contributor
Christian DyckI have the same problem with a Yealink bluetooth device. Appears to be a Teams issue.

The new Teams version 24033.807.2716.7297(preview) seems more stable allover
- DominikA9522Brass Contributortested today with version 24004.1307.2669.7070.
Teams did not crash. Can somebody double check?- Thiemo_HCopper ContributorI've still got the problem... just a minute ago I crashed my teams purposely with muting/unmuting.
Version: 24004.1307.2669.7070
- DominikA9522Brass ContributorHi,
we have the same problem. We do not get any feedback from MSFT regarding this issue.... - Thiemo_HCopper Contributor
Since yesterday my New Teams is even more unstable than before: It crashes without touching the microphone arm of my Jabra headset in calls/meetings and even crashed once without a call.
This morning when Teams opened via autostart it crashed right there and my Jabra was still in the charging stand and off.
Current version: 24004.1307.2669.7070- s_plengeBrass ContributorThere is a reddit thread on this issue as well.
Someone said it's stable with:
Microsoft Teams version: 24004.1309.2689.2246(preview)
Client version: 49/24010419121- Thiemo_HCopper ContributorVersion 24004.1309.2689.2246 is no longer preview and instead GA (atleast I have this version since this monring).
I've tried to forcefully crash my teams with muting/unmuting and it works like a charm for me. No crashes.

Hello Mr. ?
Thank you for your message.
Similar issues have recently been reported by other users after upgrading to MS Teams NEW. As not all users are affected, it seems that the computer model and operating system may also play a role.
We recommend temporarily reverting to an older Teams version and reporting this problem to MS Teams.
The softphone (telephony program) and the headset communicate with each other via standard HID commands. We have not made any recent changes to the integration and the same commands are used to communicate with different softphones.
I will be happy to answer any further questions you may have.
From Microsoft we got no feedback so far... - KautskyNDCopper ContributorSame problem here. Me and four of my colleagues have the same issue. Some days it works well, some days it crashes often.
- Just tested on my Jabra Speak2 75 nwith the 380 USB dongle. Work like a charm on the new Teams client. Did not crash.
The speak has firmware 1.2.3 and the 380 has 1.16.0.
I'm running the Teams version: Microsoft Teams version 24033.803.2689.2248.
My computer is Surface PRO 7 running Windows 11 (23H2 build: 22635.3130 - petsoCopper Contributor
Having the same issue with Jabra Evolve 75 and Jabra link 380. Also seems to be crashing Teams when unmuting with microphone down, and crashes seem more frequent altogether so it might be something to do with Jabra Link and the Jabra software
