63 TopicsConversation History not working
I am on SfB 16.3.121 and my "converstion history" is most of the time not saved into my Exchange Online mailbox. My SfB account is in O365 as well and our autodiscover DNS entries are pointing to O365. We still have SfB OnPremise servers for our PSTN connectivity, so our SfB DNS entries are still pointing to OnPremise. Sometimes the converstation history is saved, but right now I can see not history at all for last week - that's really annoying :-(Skype for business crashing on startup in Mac 10.11.6 since June
Hi, Since one automatic update was installed (I know, my mistake for having the automatic updates on), I cannot use Skype for Business for Mac anymore. My OSX version is 10.11.6 El Capitan and I cannot upgrade it because of hardware limitations. I tried the instructions in the following URL with no luck: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/SkypeForBusiness/troubleshoot/server-install-or-uninstall/clean-uninstallation I tried the following versions with no luck: 16.27.35 16.27.36 16.27.37 (this one with the installer filename 16.27.0.37) 16.28.72 16.28.98 As you see, there's "normal" and office insider versions. I'm pretty desperate 😉 The only version I was able to successfully use since June is the one I downloaded long time ago: 16.17.0.65 I know later versions should also work because I remember a nice version with animated emojis, probably the 16.26.19? I saw mentions to that version around internet, but I couldn't find it for download. All pages refer to the Microsoft download link, but the file is not available in that location at all. Any ideas? Alternatively, does anybody know the way to get an older version of Skype for Business? Thanks! PS: Here is the stack for the crashed thread upon start. If I'm not wrong all the tested versions show the same error (EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION): Process: Skype for Business [1126] Path: /Applications/Skype for Business.app/Contents/MacOS/Skype for Business Identifier: com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness Version: 16.28.98 (16.28.98) Code Type: X86-64 (Native) Parent Process: ??? While connected through VPN screen sharing fails with "We can't connect you to the presentation" (macOS, Viscosity/OpenVPN). I'm not seeing any errors in the Console from Skype for Business. I've experienced this for weeks and months but only just now figured out that it's caused by a VPN connection. I'm on Office Insider Fast for Skype for Business and thus running 16.3.241. Side note: I don't need VPN to access the "Skype server" but I have it on for other connections to my employer.Zoom function while screen sharing
Hi all, Am I the only one who experiance nearly all the time the lack of a "zoom" or "bigger" window when someone else is sharing the entire screen? As you can see attached even if I have the SfB window on full desktop size on my 15" MacBook Pro 2016, the shared screen is much smaller and I still have a lot of "black thick border" around. Why is there no option like in "SfB for Windows" to zoom or autofit the screen? In addition the shared screen is nearly all time not very sharp or blurry. If I switch to my 4k external display the "shared screen" is getting even smaller. Even if the "other shared screen" has a simlar or even smaller resolution than I have. Will this be fixed in a future release? Thanks and best regards, SaschaAfter waking from sleep, SfB client will not log back in
Hello, If I have Skype for Business 16.12.77 signed in when my MacBook goes into sleep mode, when it wakes back up Skype for Business is signed out. I have to login each time this occurs. Is this happening for all? Anyone know if it is possible to have the app automatically log back in? Joe CistaroFeedback wanted on the new Grouped View feature in Insider 16.20 release
Grouped View is a new feature available in the Insider build to help with the problem of seeing multiple conversations with the same person or groups of people in the Chats list. When you install Insider build 16.20, you will see an option at the top of the Chats list to choose between Grouped View and List View. When Grouped View is selected, all conversations with the same person or group of people are grouped together in the list with a header showing the person's or group's name. The list is still sorted chronologically, and the groups with the most recent messages are at the top. To see individual conversations and messages, expand the group and select the desired conversation. When you receive a new message, the group heading is bolded and marked with a red dot, similar to how conversations with new messages are marked. In the screenshot, Premal sent me a message, so the group heading and the conversation with the message are both marked as having new messages. List View is the same chats list as before. We want your feedback on this feature. Please post your suggestions and reactions here. If you see bugs, please report through the Report an Issue command on Help menu in the app so that we have logs to diagnose the problem. Thanks in advance for the feedback! Phil.Chat Rooms
Are chat rooms available in this? In work we're upgrading to Windows 10 and the latest Skype for Business server (we're currently on an old server so I can't test this out) and we've been asked to compile a list of applications we need. Our team is a mixture of Mac and Windows users so we use Hipchat to chat within rooms although I'm not a big fan of the interface so I wondering if we could use Chat Rooms in Skype for Business instead. Unfortunately it seems like the current Mac client doesn't support this.Crash When Accessing Emails in Outlook
Hi, I'm running the new MacOS 10.14 Beta and the latest Insider Fast Office apps.
