Apps are not installing at the time of enrollment
Hi People,
I am new in enrollment of the android devices.
I have a few devices which I need to enroll as Corporate-owned, fully managed user device.
In order to do so, I completed the steps below:
1. Scan the code
2. Login as company credentials.
3. Setup the pin number.
After that I am stuck at installing the apps.
As Microsoft Authenticator and Microsoft Intune are required apps, without that I can't do anything.
Installation of that apps are just going for ever.
Please see the screenshot and help me if you can .Thanks
- ethanchalmersCopper ContributorAnyone seeing this issue again lately (Oct 2024)?
Appears to only affect previously enrolled devices from my testing. Issue persists across multiple tenants. - Abcolg8Copper Contributor
It appears as though this issue is back
i am once again stuck at the spinning wheels when installing the 2 required apps
- Fusoya14Copper ContributorHello,
I have the same issue currently,
I tried your different solution you purpose in this post.
Is anyone found the magic trick ?
Thank you in advance everyone- GeoffB1155Brass Contributor
Fusoya14 We never found a work-around other than waiting... we'd leave the enrolled device sit, plugged into power for about 12 hours and it would eventually go. We did get confirmation from Microsoft that there was a disconnect between them and the Google Playstore, so there was nothing we could do on our end!
- Abcolg8Copper Contributor+1 to this ... we also never found an answer apart from leaving the device for a few hours and letting it finish...... we also received a response from Microsoft that it was an issue with the tenant talking to google play.
- PatrikStar73Copper ContributorNow it seem to work for me again.
I have enrolled two times with no problem.
Have not got any answers from Microsoft though.- GeoffB1155Brass ContributorIt's working again for us too, I got the following from Google: There was an outage at Google in one of the Managed Google Play infrastructure last night (started at around 6/20 evening US Pacific Time and continued well into the night and early morning on 6/21).
The outage has been resolved and so the enrollment flow should be working again now.- MischaSzCopper Contributor
I had the same issue as described here and the solution was to change the app assignment settings for Intune, Authenticator and Company portal to "All devices". Installation of required apps now works flawlessly.
- EddieD570Copper ContributorWe've had the same today, 21 June.
Microsoft have confirmed it's on Google's side who are working on it - PatrikStar73Copper ContributorSame here.
I am totally stucked at the same screen.
It worked for a while today, but then not.
I have wiped the device 5 times, but still stuck. 😞- andy2424Copper Contributor

I have opened a case to Microsoft about this.
They say that there has been a lot of those cases the last 24 hour.
I write back here as soon as I get new status.

Bijanya Did you figure out what was your issue? I'm having a similar issue now. My setup works for quite a long time yet some way or another began to quit working. I can now and then inspire it to work by continue to attempt however for the most part not. I'm enlisting Samsung Universe A33 Android 12 - 13 adaptation. There is no gadget limitation and breaking point limitation in put. I had a go at associating with various wireless association nevertheless can't inspire it to work.
- MrJeemCopper ContributorThanks all, if anyone finds any more info please do post. Seems this is definitely a wide spread issue.

I just got the following on my Case #: 34512177
Hello Geoff,
Today we got a confirmation that some fixes were implemented, could you please let me know if you notice improvements on the device enrollment or if there are still devices getting stuck.

Intune Support Escalation Engineer- MrJeemCopper ContributorI'm not sure if you've seen any improvement, but I have not. I tried my test device a handful of times and it's just spinning on those 2 apps during enrollment 😞
- RacerRockyCopper ContributorI was still having problems this morning, but I had two phones that pushed without issue this afternoon. Before that only used phones would push apps, anything new out of the box would not work. Anyone else have any luck today?
- Abcolg8Copper ContributorI Enrolled 6 phones .. 1 went strait though the others took about 3/12 hrs for the apps to get ticked off

This thread seemed to have a lot of steam but then died off. Is there a fix?
If anyone has info on how to get this working please share the details.
Thanks!

it's working for me since i added intune to exclusion list. try adding conditional access and put all cloud apps then exclude ms intune
- RacerRockyCopper ContributorThis issue started with us last week Case #: 34751619 Until MS can get it fixed my workaround has been to reboot the phone, The home screen comes up, open google play and you can see all the apps trying to download. Tap an app and you can install it from there one at a time. It takes forever but at least I can get our users going.

RacerRocky I wouldn't reboot the phone. MS documentation specifically says not to, and I have confirmed that some policies don't work when you do this.
Important
It's important that device users do not restart devices until enrollment is complete. If device users setting up fully managed devices or corporate-owned devices with a work profile restart their devices in the middle of enrollment, their devices may not be able to register with Microsoft Intune. Devices that restarted may appear to be enrolled but they won't be protected by your Intune policies.
- RacerRockyCopper ContributorAh got it, Thank you!!
