Shared mailbox cannot be pinned to Favorite
When I want to rightclick on the inbox under Shared with me in New Outlook the pane doesn't show up - so I cannot pin it to Favorites. There is simply nothing, just a very short shadow of the pane. I tried to delete and reinstall the new Outlook app but to no avail. Does anyone have the solution her, I would highly appreciate your help. Kind regards, Astrid21Views0likes0CommentsFinding out email address from recovery email
Hi All, new here, I’ve got my primary hotmail email address, over the years I’ve used this as the recovery email for a couple of different hotmail accounts, I’ve since forgotten what those email addresses were, is there anyway I can find out what they were from my main primary account? Thanks in advance8Views0likes0CommentsExported .pst loses a year of mail?
I want to migrate my website to a new hosting provider (need a new site anyway as K2 won't work with Joomla 5). To keep my mail, it appears my only option is to use an IMAP client, e.g. Outlook. I want to export my mail as .pst, set my account to the new mail server, and import the .pst. But every time I attempt this and import the .pst, I lose exactly 1 year of mail. Nothing after early March 2024 appears. I have no idea why.3Views0likes0CommentsMissing DragnDrop of attachments from new Outlook to browsers (SharePoint) – Please bring it back!
The new Outlook no longer supports direct drag & drop of email attachments into browser-based apps like SharePoint or OneDrive. In the classic Outlook, this worked seamlessly, but now we have to go through the desktop as a workaround – an unnecessary extra step that significantly slows down our workflow. Please restore this essential feature! Many businesses and power users rely on drag & drop for efficient work, and this limitation is a major downgrade.78Views4likes0CommentsConfigure Outlook spell checker to ignore words with undescores
Suggested feature: i would like to have a configuration option for the Outlook spell checker to ignore all words that have interspersed undescore characters (words containing _ underscores); e.g. acct_id. I do not want to "Add to Dictionary" each of these technical terms one by one. I would prefer to configure the spell checker and be aware that there is not going to be any spell-checking done on any of the technical terms used in the e-mail.16Views0likes0CommentsWebmail Calendar - recurring series exception missing data
We use recurring events to book in clients. When an available slot is filled, the client info is put in the box of the event, so it becomes an exception to the series. Makes sense. However, if you look at that exception again after saving the changes, the body portion of the event is completely blank. This happens in webmail ONLY. If I access the calendar via the desktop app, all the client information is visible. Our staff all use webmail and this was working fine up until this week - I can't find what changed!12Views0likes0Commentsto do task bar not showing any tasks

We have created a manifest file by following the link as mentioned in the Microsoft Documentation https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/outlook/mobile-event-based?tabs=jsonmanifest and uploaded to O365 admin for using it in Web application and mobile application, but Add-in is not showing in the Mobile application Add-in list. I have tried clearing cache in the mobile app and also tried PowerShell Command Set-OrganizationConfig -OutlookMobileGCCRestrictionsEnabled $false but it is not working. My questions are: Have we missed anything after deployment or in the Manifest file? Do we need to run any other PowerShell commands to display the application in the Mobile Outlook Add-in list? In some forums it was mentioned that the Add-in needs to be Whitelisted, is there any such thing. If so, how to do that? Please suggest us on how to proceed and help us with this manifest file (Add-in) to be working in the Outlook mobile application.10Views0likes0CommentsDeleting an item that won't delete?
I'm using the new Outlook (as an app) on my PC. There is one [draft] item in the delete folder that won't delete no matter what I do. It's an email from 2023. I've tried deleting it from the deleted folder, deleting it from the restore area, moving it to other folders and deleting it, sending it as an email. None has worked - it keeps reappearing in the deleted folder. At the same time, it does not appear online in the email provider for that account, nor does it appear in the desktop version of Outlook 2019. How can I get rid of it? Thank you in advance!39Views0likes0CommentsCan't add shared mailboxes
Hi everyone I have an M365 Business Tenant with just one Exchange Online Plan 1 license active and one shared mailbox. The license I use for my locally installed Office Apps is from a M365 Family Plan. I can fully integrate my account with the EXO license but can't add the shared mailbox as seen in my screenshot. Is this due to the licensing through M365 Family? Does this disable the functionality to add shared mailboxes? The shared mailbox can be added in OWA and on mobile but not in my Outlook client. Thanks for any advice.26Views0likes0Commentsvba to extract excel file in subfolder email attachement

I am using Microsoft Outlook 365 on Windows with multiple email mailboxes. One mailbox is a microsoft hosted mailbox with a custom domain name (lewins.email) and another is a gmail hosted mailbox (GSDVS.COM) which is accessed from inside Outlook using IMAP. In my data files directory I have two OST files, one for each mailbox and they have almost exactly the same date/time stamp (which I guess is not strange since they are both being constantly updated by Outlook) but also the exact same size down to the byte. Why is that? Shouldnt the size be different? Isnt something wrong with how my outlook is setup? Some screenshots below, feel free to ask if you need more info about how each mailbox is setup. Thanks for any advice you can give.14Views0likes0CommentsLogging into outlook.com
Hi Is anyone else stuck in a redirect loop on outlook.com? I go to outlook.com, enter my email address and password. The blue envelope pops up, sits there for a few seconds, and then redirects to https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/outlook/email-and-calendar-software-microsoft-outlook I then click on one of the login links/buttons and do the same and it ends up back in the same place. Sometimes I will get a 403 (which is weird!), and then some other times it will log into my email, so the credentials are ok, and the account is not locked. This has only started to happen in the last couple of weeks. I have tried clearing all website data, loading incognito and the same thing happens in both cases. Anyone else experiencing this? Hi, when I go to click on a new email, just before I click, an ad disguised as an email pops up and shifts my emails down. This is super strange! This causes my cursor to miss the email I wanted to click on and makes me click on an ad that I didn't want to click on. Can someone from Microsoft please help. Is this intended behavior for Outlook online? Thank you!15Views0likes0CommentsSeamless Inline Translation for Emails in Outlook
Outlook should offer a built-in, one-click translation feature for emails received in different languages. While external tools like Google Translate exist, copying and pasting text is inconvenient, especially for long emails. Key features: Automatic language detection with translate button. Inline Translation directly within the emails, preserving formatting. Support for multiple languages using Microsoft translator. User preferences to auto translate specific languages or disable translation when not needed. This feature would improve productivity, especially for global teams, making it easier to read and respond to emails without leaving outlook.23Views1like0CommentsOWA Upload and Share Permissions
Hello...I have a user using OWA (University - Microsoft 365 A5 license) who is experiencing a new scenario/error msg., when initiating the "upload and share" option to share a locally stored file as an email attachment (gets uploaded by default to their OneDrive Attachments folder) when sending OWA email messages to colleagues. The email will send with the attachment icon/link, but recipients don't have access to it and have to choose the "request access" option, where then the user/sender can approve the request for access. The error msg., is "you don't have permission to give others access to file X" and the filename that is uploaded has red text (normally it is blue). The users has tested this scenario on multiple computers w/ multiple browsers, and changed the upload OneDrive folder location, with the same result. I can initiate the same scenario on the same computers, browsers, and files, while signed onto my OWA account w/ out issue. The user's Mailbox has a small quota size and their OneDrive account does as well. This started about two weeks ago, though as far as I know, no University Enterprise changes were made to the users account. Not sure what to look at for a solution so any help would be appreciated. I am trying to send emails from my domains mailbox which is google based but it is being blocked with the following error: 450 4.7.26 Service does not accept messages sent over IPv6 [2607:f8b0:4864:20::f2e] unless they pass either SPF or DKIM validation (signature failure). Emails being sent to outlook if they are received are frequently ending up in the junk folder. I have a paid service so all users receiving emails from my platform are expecting these emails and I'm almost only having this issue with outlook, is there anything i can do from my end so that outlook stops flagging my emails to my customers?81Views0likes0Comments[SEMI-CRITICAL] Outlook rules aren't working when email encoding system is different
(First, note that I am a Korean, and my report may use a different term for the system because it's tedious to figure out the original term for what I am using. I believe you know the vibe I am talking about.) I figured using different character encoding system may result in failing outlook rules working. Basically, it appears Outlook is using UTF-8 based, but sometimes emails from other organisations use different. Let me show 2 receiver cases: To: =?utf-8?B?7ZmN6ri464+Z?= <johndoe@secret.secret> To: =?ks_c_5601-1987?B?yKux5rW/?= <johndoe@secret.secret> This is what you can see from an email header, and left encoded characters are a name of a person, and obviously right bracket ones are their email. You can see it uses different encoding system. Both are encoded from "홍길동" (this is identical to a random guy name as much as how john doe is.) We can guess the name of this outlook user is obviously "홍길동" and their email address is johndoe@secret.secret When you choose a rule [When an email has my name], the rule system will only work to the first case, the UTF-8 encoded one. It appears the rule [When an email has my name] only checks if an email has "?utf-8?B?7ZmN6ri464+Z?", but doesn't check "?ks_c_5601-1987?B?yKux5rW/?". However, both cases should work because both are their name. The only solution for this is adjusting senders' email system to use UTF-8 only, but that is not possible. Thus it fails checking those conditions. I am pretty sure this is why people have been complaining outlook rules doesn't work for years. I want rules having more possible case checks... but I have no idea where I can suggest this.49Views0likes0Commentsubf8t346g9.office - This file size is 180gb and how to reduce?
