Hi all, Am I the only one who experiance nearly all the time the lack of a "zoom" or "bigger" window when someone else is sharing the entire screen? As you can see attached even if I have the SfB window on full desktop size on my 15" MacBook Pro 2016, the shared screen is much smaller and I still have a lot of "black thick border" around. Why is there no option like in "SfB for Windows" to zoom or autofit the screen? In addition the shared screen is nearly all time not very sharp or blurry. If I switch to my 4k external display the "shared screen" is getting even smaller. Even if the "other shared screen" has a simlar or even smaller resolution than I have. Will this be fixed in a future release? Thanks and best regards, SaschaMeetings not showing
Hi, For a reason I don't understand my meetings don't appear listed in the Meetings tab... When I click the tab I receive the message: "We can't connect to Exchange. Please try again later." The weirdest thing is that this feature used to be working fine on a previous version, I don't remember exactly which version but maybe one month ago... The version I'm using is 16.2.143 Can someone help? ThanksScreen sharing clashes with VPN?
While connected through VPN screen sharing fails with "We can't connect you to the presentation" (macOS, Viscosity/OpenVPN). I'm not seeing any errors in the Console from Skype for Business. I've experienced this for weeks and months but only just now figured out that it's caused by a VPN connection. I'm on Office Insider Fast for Skype for Business and thus running 16.3.241. Side note: I don't need VPN to access the "Skype server" but I have it on for other connections to my employer.New Skype for Business on Mac (Insider) build is available!
We have released a new build for Skype for Business for Mac client using Microsoft Auto Update. What’s new in this release? Group management is available for O365 and SfB Server 2016 users (this functionality is not available for Lync Server 2013 users). Users can now: Add/create new contact group Delete a contact group Rename a contact group Users can tag contacts for status change alerts. Ability to add Enterprise Distribution Groups to contacts list New Single Window behavior – if Server Side Conversation History is disabled you will not have the ability to use Single Window Mode. Next Steps From any Office for Mac app, go to Help | Check for Updates. Select “Automatically Check” or “Automatically Download and Install”. Select “Join the Office Insider” program, then select “Office Insider Fast” or “Office Insider Slow” depending how quickly you would like to receive updates. Click “Check for Updates” to install the latest updates.Conversation History not working
I am on SfB 16.3.121 and my "converstion history" is most of the time not saved into my Exchange Online mailbox. My SfB account is in O365 as well and our autodiscover DNS entries are pointing to O365. We still have SfB OnPremise servers for our PSTN connectivity, so our SfB DNS entries are still pointing to OnPremise. Sometimes the converstation history is saved, but right now I can see not history at all for last week - that's really annoying :-(Skype for Business on Mac Single Window mode
We received many feedbacks from you about the Single Window mode. We made some changes in 16.2, currently available for Insiders, to simplify the mode. • Single Window mode will be available for all users (SFB Online, SFB Server 2015 and Lync Server 2013) depending on their IM archiving client policy (see Set-CsClientPolicy technet article) • Will no longer depend on server side conversation history (SSCH) • Single Window mode is On when EnableAutoIMArchiving client side policy is enabled or not set. User has the option to change to separate windows. • Single Window mode is Off when EnableAutoIMArchiving is disabled. User will only have separate windows. There is no option to change. Thank you for your participation and feedback in SFB Mac Insider Preview program.New Skype for Business on Mac Insider build available (16.13.168)
We're excited to release new Insider builds (both Slow and Fast). The release has a lot of improvements that you've been asking for, so we really would like to have you try it and give us feedback. If you find a bug, please report the issue using Help\Report an Issue. Here's what's new in this release: Status from your Outlook calendar Skype for Business will automatically update your status to indicate when you are in a meeting or busy based on your Outlook calendar. You can turn this off by clearing Update my status based on my calendar information in General page of Preferences dialog box. Manage people in your meetings and calls When in a meeting or call, you can easily mute someone's microphone, make them a presenter or attendee, or remove them from the meeting. In the People list, select the user and then select the More Options (…) button. Know when you are offline You'll see a notification at the top of the window when you aren't connected to the Skype for Business server, and the buttons to start conversations and join meetings will be disabled. See your missed IM messages When you miss an IM conversation, you can see the message text in the chat window even if your organization has disabled automatic archiving of IM messages. Monitor the quality of your audio and video calls If you are on macOS Sierra or later, your admin can monitor the Quality of Service (QoS) of your audio and video calls to keep your service running smoothly. Improvements Fixed an issue that prevented a user from seeing a security desk notification when they dial 911 Fixed an issue where IM messages were not displayed in the order in which they were sent Improved the performance of opening chat conversations Changed the position of notifications so they do not cover action buttons when you leave a call or meeting Improved the performance of displaying the Devices window Improved the visibility of Next Slide and Previous Slide buttons when sharing a PowerPoint file in a meeting Fixed issues around sending IMs when a presenter enables or disables all IM in a meeting Fixed an issue with how HTTP proxy passwords were stored Fixed an issue that caused users with an Alternate ID to be prompted to sign in multiple times.Cannot log in / specify discovery addresses
I have just installed Skype for Business 16.1.456 on my MBP running MacOS Sierra, and cannot log in. (This is a fresh install, I have not run Skype for Business on the Mac earlier.) On my Windows version of Skype for Business I have manual configuration of discovery addresses (automatically added for me by my company) so I assume that the Mac login fails because these are missing. So I attempt to add them on the Mac, however: When I click "Advanced Options" i get a dialog box with inputs for HTTP proxy (Domain/User Name/Password), Internal Discovery Address and External Discovery Address. The last two are disabled and the checkbox Auto-Detect Server is selected. If I uncheck Auto-Detect Server the two Discovery Address inputs become editable, but at the same time the Save button is disabled so I cannot save my manually configured discover address values. See the attached screenshot for illustration of the problem. Any ideas?Minimal requirement for windows 11 not meet
