Removing students from Team created class notebooks
Here's an interesting one: When a new student is added to a Team, they also arrive in class notebook. But when they are removed from the Team, they remain in the notebook. When you go to 'add or remove students' via the desktop add-in, the notebook concerned isn't in the available list. Is it just us or has anyone else found this? It would be a good idea in future releases of Classnotebook to have the Teacher Only space as one of the default section groups without having to activate it. I am training staff to use class notebooks at the heart of their 'E' operation in their classes, and it is very challenging for most- activiating the teacher only space through Manage Notebooks seems to me an unnecessary complication.SolvedJohn GoodhindFeb 18, 2017Iron Contributor21KViews4likes34CommentsHow do you delete a Class Notebook created in Teams?
What's the correct procedure to delete a Class Notebook that's been created via a Team and how can I view where they are stored? I've deleted the team that has the class notebook in but i'm still seeing the notebook listed under Office 365->Class Notebook->Manage Notebook under the co-owned notebooks. Also what's the correct way to add\remove students and teachers to Class notebook created in Teams, are we supposed to do this in Teams rather than Onenote? Hi Is it possibel to move a OneNote Classroom from one Onedrive to another? When a teacher is taking over at class, it would be nice if the OneNote Classroom-files could be moved as well, especially if the old teacher have chosen to stop at the school. Has anyone figured out how to export a section to Word or PDF without having to do extensive repair work when it arrives in the new fomat? The worst problem is tables. Word seems to be a bit better- PDF is unusable. There are currently at least two ways a teacher can create a OneNote Class Notebook (A) The original way - using the SharePoint app creating it in a SharePoint site (B) Using the tile in the "App Laucher" - this creates it in a OneDrive folder. Q1 - will both methods continue to be supported? Method (B) seems to have the larger feature set, but is tricky to manage as it is stored in that teacher's OneDrive and there are difficulties if that teacher changes/leaves etc. The Class Notebook Add-in for OneNote 2013/2016 is designed for Method (B). Not all of the features work for Method (A). Q2 - Is there a way to move/convert a notebook created with one Method to the other?ta_pbSep 20, 2016Steel Contributor5.3KViews2likes8CommentsClass Notebooks can not be created in Teams for Edu
Hi. We have noticed over the last 96 hours or so that Class Notebooks are not creating Teams for Edu. The error received is "We had a problem with setting up your Class Notebook. Try again in a moment." You try again... it reports that it already exists.... you Refresh and it's back to the Crteate Wizard. Has anyone else experienced this? Australian Tenant. Hi Great news about the ability to add permissions to collaboration spaces in class notebook: https://blogs.office.com/2017/04/19/onenote-class-notebook-updates-include-read-only-parent-or-guardian-access-and-collaboration-space-permissions/ One snag I have found is that I cannot use the method shown in the video for class notebooks that I have created in Classroom, as they are not saved in OneDrive. The option to change these settings do not exist when I try to manage the class notebook in Classroom itself. I am worried this problem will reoccur when class notebook is added to Teams, so hopefully somebody can shed light on this. Thanks3.5KViews0likes6Comments
