Allow muting a person only for me
Sometimes I am in a meeting where one of the persons in the meeting is actually near me in the world outside the screen. In this case the sound is a bit maddening since there is a small delay between the sound from the person and the sound through the teams interface. In these cases, I would like to mute the person only for me since I am sitting near and can hear the person fine without headphones. Right now I need to takeoff headphones when the person is talking and putting it back as the person finishes talking.
Notify when available feature in NEW Teams app
11/28 update: please upvote this issue here in the feedback portal: Notify when available not in new teams? · Community (microsoft.com) The "Notify when available" feature doesn't appear to be available yet in the NEW Teams application when the new app is supposed to have full feature parity at this point. It's a useful feature that I (and I know others) use often. Is this feature going to be developed/released for the NEW Teams or is this not going to be available? "New" Teams meet now defaults to audio call not video call
Hello all, Just been updated to Teams version 23285.3607.2525.937 and in this version, calling other users behaviour in the UI has been changed to instead of having two distinct buttons for either an Audio or Video call, there is now a "Meet Now" button with a drop down where the main click option defaults to an audio call. This is a poor change to the UI design and I also cannot see an option to set video calls to be the default meet now option, is there an option to change the default behaviour and where is it?Show more than 4 people on Teams video
Hi, Looking back through previous forum posts, it looks like there have been plans to expand the max number of windows shown in calls from 2x2 to 3x3, so you would be able to see 9 people on video at a time rather than 4. Has there been any progress on this? You're probably aware that a huge number of people are now working from home, so this would be a very useful feature to have at the moment! Thanks Mike
Contact list no longer available in new Teams version
When new teams go live, can I keep using the old version? The new version only has a chat list and no contact list. I regularly use my contact list to determine if someone is in the office. If I must use the new teams, can someone suggest a workaround?Increase the number of pinned chats allowed
Hi, I find pinning Chats in Teams to be a very handy feature. However, I have about 12 people in my direct team, along with a manager and other individuals I chat with regularly...and, the limit in Teams is set to 15...which I have maxed out. Is it possible to increase this number or to remove the limit completely? 15 seems a bit arbitrary. Thanks!Grouping chats into folders?
Hi All, Just upgraded to 'new' Teams.... and to be honest was hoping that maybe we would finally be able to group chats into folders (or similar) - but no - nothing really seems any different! Is there any chance at some point we can group chats? At present you have a never ending long list of past chats - which is super unusable! All we can do is Pin the most important as favourites.
Microsoft Teams Notification Sounds - Can't turn off???
I work at a rather large organization and we just switched to using Microsoft Teams. So far it has been great but what is driving me nuts is the Notification for new messages. I can't find it anywhere to turn this annoying sound off. When you have several coworkers all messaging you, I can't even wear headphones anymore it's gotten so bad. And you can't even turn it off? My options are, "Call, Mention, and Chat" , "All", "Off" How is these not separated? I would like it to be able to ring for calls but I don't need a BEEP every time someone messages me since I already get a banner and a flashing name. Please let me know if I am missing a setting somewhere.Spell check broken in new Teams 2.0 client
Greetings, we have about 100 users running Teams 2.0 and a handful of users, myself included, are seeing issues with the spell check. It will work for maybe 10 minutes, maybe a hour, maybe a day or two, but eventually will stop working. It will no longer flag misspelled words. The only fix is to reset the app/cache. Rebooting, uninstalling does fix it.. Just a cache reset. Once we do that, it starts working again, for 10 minutes, maybe an hour, who knows. But it will always fail again. Has anybody else seen this?Teams messages search function does not show full conversation
When using the search function in Teams chat, is there a way to see more than just one specific message (I would like to see the response to the message)? For example, I searched for a question that I asked someone but I want to know what their response was. Right now I can only see the question I asked. Here is a screenshot. The Teams Share Content Toolbar (You're sharing your screen) in Teams Meeting prevents users from adding or closing browser tabs. There is no way to hide it, unpin, it or move it. The Teams Share Content toolbar should be programmed like the Windows Remote Desktop Protocol toolbar. This toolbar allows you to click, drag and slide it out of the way or hide it, when you are viewing a remote computer screen.
